The residency is designed to support:

 

– New or substantially developed solo and quartet performances

– Lecture-performances, saxophone laboratories, recordings, writings, and research presentations

– Expanded interpretative, technical, and ensemble methodologies

– Critical engagement with saxophone histories, repertoires, pedagogies, technologies, and institutions

– More precise approaches to rehearsal, listening, documentation, and public mediation

– Collaborative relationships among saxophonists, quartets, researchers, and mentors

– Public presentations at the seventh Bled Contemporary Music Week

– International artistic relationships and future collaborative possibilities

– New forms of dialogue among performance, history, embodiment, technology, and artistic research

 

Each project’s outcome will depend on its artistic premises, stage of development, repertoire, technical requirements, and methodological trajectory. The residency recognizes development not only through completed performances, but also through clarified methods, revised assumptions, acquired knowledge, and sustained professional relationships.
